On April 28, the grand groundbreaking ceremony for the D-Building project in the Aliyah Residential Community, undertaken by CEEC, was held in Madinah Province, Saudi Arabia. Distinguished guests, including Amin, Chairman of the Madinah Knowledge Economic City (MKEC) Board; Mr. Lu Ye, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Consulate General in Jeddah attended the ceremony to witness the project’s inauguration.

The ceremony commenced solemnly at 10:00 a.m. In his speech, Amin highlighted that the Aliyah Residential Community project exemplifies the pragmatic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China. Against the backdrop of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), he emphasized the vast potential for collaboration in infrastructure, green energy, and other sectors. He noted that the complementary strengths and shared achievements of both nations would inject sustainable momentum into Saudi Arabia’s socio-economic development.

Lu Ye, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Consulate General in Jeddah, stressed that the project not only reflects the modernization of Madinah Province but also serves as a vivid example of the deep alignment between the BRI and Saudi Vision 2030. He stated that the project’s implementation would significantly improve local living conditions, accelerate Saudi Arabia’s urbanization, and provide a valuable platform for integrating Chinese technology and standards with Saudi needs. As the strategic synergies between the two countries deepen, Lu expressed confidence that cooperation opportunities across various fields would continue to flourish.

**Project Overview**  

Located in the northern area of Madinah Knowledge Economic City, the D-Building project involves the construction of seven apartment blocks with a total floor area of approximately 154,000 square meters. As a milestone in CGGC’s efforts to expand its presence in the Saudi market, this flagship project will provide invaluable experience for future participation in large-scale infrastructure initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030.
